Playing in the fountain at Seattle Center
Thursday, October 18, 2012
As promised, here’s a small break from the bright yellow of aspens in autumn. This was taken earlier this summer in Seattle, in the shadow of the Space Needle. Yes, it does get warm and sunny enough out here to go play in the water. For at least a few days each summer. Okay, not many. And by warm enough, I mean 79 degrees. That’s warm, right?
Notes: Canon EOS Rebel T1i, Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens. 1/1000s, f/9, ISO 100. Focal length: 22mm.
What filter did you use for this? I always worry about burning something up in pictures like this.
The details are fuzzy, but I don’t believe I used any filter at all. The backlight was just perfect with the mist. I may have had it set to “Cloudy” white balance to add a bit of that warm tinge. And there was definitely a bit of post-processing. (Definitely tweaked the contrast and brought out the highlights.)
Great pictures from Seattle.
